70's/80's disco violin sound

Hello,

I have asked a similar question before, dose anyone
know how to create a 70's/80's disco violin sound?

It is a sort of orchestral string (violin) section
sound that you here  a lot in the early disco tracks
i.e Bee Gees - Saturday night fever,Jacksons
'Thriller' album,S-Express etc.

I want avoid sampling.

I've tried this (and failed mostly) with the AN1x. I had to use a sampler...

 

So, I'm interested too!

Hi,

Well I hope you know the sounds I mean. I wonder if it
was a DX7? But thats more of metallic bell sounds.

I know they used synths, not sure what type, but hey I
need to do this on AN1X?

Uh... I for one LIKE to see the entire thread... makes
it a helluva lot easier to follow the whole discussion
with just a glance, instead of having to dig up other
threads and responses.

Understand it might not help archiving, but so it
goes...

Then use threading in your mailer. Every major free e-mail program 
(Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Mozilla) supports it.

Not editing your e-mails is an annoying habit, borne out of laziness and 
helped by Microsoft who puts the cursor at the top of the reply. It also 
goes against netiquette.
