Power supply lost! What are the specs?

Power supply lost! What are the specs?

2005-01-17 by Ed Edwards

Yeah, I'm now officially part of the Dumbass family. Somehow after packing up
after a gig... now I can't find the thing.

The FAQ states:
Power Supply AC Adaptor (Yamaha PA-3B or equiv.)

That's not enough info.

Please save me time searching the archives.
What are the specs?

Voltage:
Current:
Tip polarity:
(Here's the tough one) Size of tip:

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I do NOT plan on paying full price for
the Yamaha unit unless I absolutely have to.
Hopefully, with the right specs it may be replaced with a generic.

(Did I Google this? Yep. And DiscountJungle.net has one for the excellent
price of $8.90... with shipping costs of $15.61!)

TIA

I think you can use any power adapter which has specs,

  12V, 600mA

What I've understood the tip should be standard size with most power adapters
and the tip size is defined from the output voltage. So as long as the
adapter outputs 12V, you should have correct size. Note that the specs are
from European adapter (input 230V, model A31260G).

That's the Yamaha model number - it is widely used on mnay Yamaha
models and readily available from most dealers, not too mention
consumer electronics stores.

I have 2 of the north american version of the adapter (one for an AN1x,
one for a DX200), which specs as follows:

Input: AC 120v 60Hz 15VA
Output: DC 12v 700 mA
Polarity: inner + outer -
Size of tip: same as in a guitar pedal, that's all I know =)

Good luck
Daniel

Thank you to Daniel and Jon and Jouni and Rainbow Jim.

I'll certainly be able to dig one up now for much cheaper than 30 bucks.
