Newbie question!

Newbie question!

2004-06-05 by mikenzo

What knob combination (I guess it's something like that) will show me
the current OS version of my AN1x?

Thanks

Hold down the '0', '-', and '+' keys while powering on the AN1x. This key sequence
displays the OS version of your AN1x. v1.02 is the most common - v1.04 was the last
update (minor bug fixes.)

now this is interesting, from where do you have got the info?

Do you know which are those minor bug fixes?

Is there a non-chip-replacing method to upgrade to v1.04?

What are all those Options in the '0', '-', and '+' Test mode?

Where??? I'm dying to get that info...

1) the AN1x Reference Manual documents commands such as the one list
above and 2) the OS update info was provided to me by a a Yamaha
Customer Assistance tech during an email exchange prior to receiving
the v1.04 EPROM update.

An intermittent clipping in the Sync Delay Effect and an
erroneous 'low battery' warning message.

No.

Don't know - most likely they are calibration and self test routines
used by qualified service technicians. Play around with them at your
own risk.

You mean the OS version? I wouldn't be concerned unless you
encountered some obscure bug that complicates your productivity. If
that's the case, contact Yamaha Customer Assistance

http://www.yamaha.com/

and request the latest EPROM (AFAIK, that's v1.04.) Don't know their
currently policy regarding a charge for the upgrade or S+H fee
associated with it. My upgrade was supplied free of charge but some
other list members were charged a fee.
