hey- > I'm also not a AN1x owner, but I heard great comments on it. Plus, its > features seem to match what I'm looking for right now. you might also want to think about getting the AN200, unless you really have a need for the keyboard version. it's got some stuff the AN1x doesn't have, plus it takes up very little room, has the onboard sequencer, etc. i don't know, i think i paid 140$ or something for mine, and it's one of the few hardware synths i _didn't_ sell (and i got rid of some _serious heavyweights: prophet 600, pro-one, nord rack2, etc). it completely rules!! but, you've got to have the software to control it (which means keeping a machine on OS9, at least on the mac side). don't know what eBay has to offer at the moment, but it's something to think about. i know this list tends to focus on the AN1x but the AN200 is still pretty kick ass. - tyler / battery cage -[www.batterycage.com] ======================
