Songs made with the AN1x?

Songs made with the AN1x?

2004-05-31 by Daniel Araujo

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I could have been #1000 but I
joined a few days ago, so I'm guessing no =)
I'm also not a AN1x owner, but I heard great comments on it. Plus, its
features seem to match what I'm looking for right now.
So, do any of you have sound clips made with the AN1x? Demo songs, your
own songs... I wanna hear it in action. Who knows, maybe I'll be joining
the club =)

Thanks a lot
Daniel Araujo

Here's a couple I did a few years ago (as e:trinity):
AN1x pads: "The Dreams That We Dream":
http://www.cdbaby.com/mp3lofi/etrinity2-04.m3u
AN1x lead: "Predawn Song" http://www.cdbaby.com/mp3lofi/etrinity2-14.m3u

More recently:
AN1x bass and strings: "Love Fall Down"

Hi Daniel. I have some at my site at http://home.online.no/~jacker
but I am pretty inexperienced on keyboards...and I use mine often
as soundscapes...I am mainly a guitarist, but I love the synth and
work with it a lot, I just feel I'm not getting as much out of it as
some of the gurus here.

Hi Elson. Great songs. I really enjoyed "Love Fall Down". The bassline
is really cool. Would you mind if I ask you what you used for piano and
brass sounds?

Thanks
Daniel Araujo

Hi Jim. I'm more of a guitar player as well. I've been learning to play
and love synthesizers for a year now.
Your songs are really cool! I specially like "He hated his hat".
Synth-wise, I was able to hear some very Derek-Sherinian-Like leads in
it =) One more reason to go for the AN1x, as I love that kind of sound.

Thanks
Daniel Araujo

Thanks! The piano and brass sounds came from my Roland JV-1010. I also used
some gate reverb and a lot of compression on the brass to make it more like
a horn section.

I posted this a few months ago. Here are 3 songs done with an An1x and
a groovebox. All the lead and pads are An1x.

Cool sounds Pete. Some of them are very DX7-like, aren't they?
Which brings me to a new question... is the AN1x able to emulate
electric / bell / rhode pianos?

Obrigado (portuguese for thank you)

The AN1x does have some FM features, but it's NOT the same as the DX. The
preset DX piano in the An1x is the closest you can get...it's real light
and not as expressive as the real DX tine piano.

Yes, for FM like timbres that I used check out the one called "Ice Pad"
in the factory set. I use a bit of the FM on the organ sounds to make
them more like a combo organ and less like a hammond.

The Wurlitzer type ep sound on "One" is also an1x so yes it can produce
bell/ep type sounds.
