Thanks for posting the bank of new soundz. There aren't many sets out
for this board. I haven't had a chance to play through most of them
yet however, the level of craft in them is pretty good. I have a bank
thats unfinished and I will finish it out as time allows and post it
as I have also been downloading other user sets.
I have a Yamaha S80 and don't use my PLG150AN cards with it for the
reason the previous panelist stated.
Instead I use the PLG150AN cards in a Yamaha CS6x, which is a better
host for the cards. This is because the CS6x has a built-in control
surface and will allow you to tweak filter, envelope gen parameters,
panning, from the panel of the instrument. You still have to save the
sounds to external media, but you have greater access to the PLG's
parameters in real time than with many of the other hosts including
Motif.

Regards

*I was thinking a while ago of getting a cs6-x and popping 2 AN
boards in it, to get a 10 note poly VA, but instead I bought an ION.
P.S. I also have about 32 patches for the ION posted in the yahoo ION
group.

the ion is pretty cool, isn't it? i had one for about a week, but
had to return it because of self-edit and dead knob issues.
you really get a lot of features for the price.
dual independent filters with all those diff. types.
nice mod matrix - keyboard supports release velocity. nice osc
pre/post mix options and on and on.

i'll probably get another one when i'm 100% sure they've got the bugs
worked out.

hey! - your name - do you by any chance have one of those russian
motorcycles? a guy i work with has one all decked out with a sidecar
for less than half the price of a harley. pretty sure they're
called 'ural', or is it 'urai'?
