64 new patches for PLG150AN

64 new patches for PLG150AN

2004-04-02 by uralmoto2001

I started a new folder in the files section for patches made using
the PLG150AN board. There you will find my bank of 64 patches. I
don't know how well they will work on AN1X - about a dozen or so use
parameters not found on AN1X (multisaw,Xmod, etc.) They should load
with either AN1X editor or PLG150AN expert editor. Patchlist
included. I've downloaded enough O.P.P. (other peoples patches), I
thought it was time to give back. Check them out and see what you
think!

i have a plgAN and will check out your sounds asap. i'm pretty busy
right now.
i still haven't used it enough to always be able to find what i'm
looking for and having to use them in a 'performance' is kind of
weird. i wish you could just call them up as regular programs to be
used on their own.
i have the plg in the S80 - what are you using yours in?
have you found it easy to use?
i really like the an1x, but the editor for the plg is pretty nice,
also. do you also have the an1x? i like that the mod options
are 'out in the open' on the an1x.
i still don't have a handle on how to do it correctly in one of the
subpages of the plg.
not enough time to fully explore all the nooks and crannies.

I have an S80 with plg150an + plg150dx boards installed.No AN1x :-(
The combination is not exactly easy to program (like rebuilding an
engine thru the exhaust pipe) but pretty straightforward once you
wrap your brain around it. Just takes time. Check out power user
guides at Yamahasynth.com in downloads section. They fill in the
blanks in the (lousy)owners manual. I use both AN1X and AN expert
editor - AN1X editor allows multiple files open at once, but AN
expert editor is easier to program sequences on. PLG preset banks or
user bank can be used in S80 performance. In perf. edit mode, use knob
A to select AN part . Use knob B to select the bank. PLG is the 64
voice bank with effects. 036/000 is preset1 board bank. 036/001 is
preset2 board bank. 036/002 is the user bank (where downloaded
patches would end up). To access these banks in voice mode, hold down
PLG 1 or 2 button (depending on which slot AN board is in) and use
inc/dec buttons to find the banks. I reassigned knobs under the
display to cutoff,rez, AC1,AC2,AC3. AC4 is on a foot controller. I
have a second foot controller assigned to modwheel function. If you
think S80/PLG150AN combo is difficult to understand, try programming
the DX board! I've had it 2 years and still haven't figured it all
out. The DX editor is exactly the same as DX-7 front panel!?

hey! thanks for the tips - i'm going to have to print this stuff out.
i didn't know you could use the an1x editor with the plg board.

yes, i've also got the dx plg, but i haven't used it that much. dx
style fm doesn't sound as great as i remember it from the past. it
can give a nice sound when layered with other sruff tho.
yamaha really needs to do some work on their interfaces.
i must say the an1x seems pretty easy to use tho, compared to some of
their other stuff.

i got the VH plg board, too, but with only 2 slots, i've got to
change boards each time i use it (good thing they're easy to change.)
thanks again.
