it's cubase's fault! its midi thru is fried!!!!! even though the issue is not resolved i appriceate the help. i have setup all the ports (see configurations below) and was able to play the synths and edit them without midi conflicts. BUT when you try to record something you can't hear what you are recording!!! thus - midi thru in cubase vst 5.1 is broken or courrupt. i'm not the only one this has happed to. i've searched the cubase.net fourms and heard the same tthing about the midi thru. i hope this issue is fixed in sx 2.0 or else i am looking for a new program.
