Hi Jan Henk I have only had AN1X a few days......so bear with me! What you say is right "Control Matrix parameters apply to the internal tone generator only" However. If you look at the utility/setup and play with the device and ctrl no, theres an aftertouch (can change limit from 0 to 127). If I set this to zero...does it switch it off? I would like to switch off Aftertouch because I am using AN1X as master keyboard..... Thanks again David

Hi On page 96 of the manual it has the statement: Settings: 0 (off), CC 1 ~ 95, After Touch What does this mean? Thanks David

This works for the internal sounds, but it does NOT prevent the AT messages from being sent via MIDI. In other words, the Control Matrix only decides how much the modulated settings will respond to MIDI AT (or the internal equivalent); it doesn't change how strong the level of MIDI AT data is at the MIDI Out jack. I actually have only owned one keyboard that allowed the AT level to be changed: my old Roland D-50, which had a slider for AT level. I'm sure there are other examples, but on the whole, this kind of function is pretty rare. Most keyboards just send the raw AT data, and let the other end decide whether or not to use the information.
