Hi Timos,

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately, that's a bit more
involved than I had in mind, especially since I already have the
pro53 with me. I've noticed that the midi light doesn't come on the
pro53 for some knobs although the midi registers in Logic. The
control map also only applies to the pro53 in VSTi mode, not
standalone for some odd reason. Any help would be appreciated.

I just realized that my control change mode was set on mode 1 and not
mode 2. So midi's fine. But does anyone else that uses this have
any explanations and possible workarounds to the fact that the wave
parameter for VCO1 on the an1x is used as a swtich to only
disable/enable the sawtooth wave and the fine param is used to
disable/enable the square wave? There's a slew of other parameters
that don't match between the AN1x and the Pro53 and I've tried to
manually "dump" a patch from the AN1x to the Pro53 using the control
map for the an1x that I have. So it really seems like Timo's
suggestion of using synthedit is the only way to get around this
problem of not being able to find a way to dump patches onto a VSTi.

You'll need to edit the Controller Template to match the MIDI
CC's to suit your needs. I don't know how else to express that -
your application of the Controller Template is not what it was
intended for. You'll need to customize it to suit your needs if you
choose to continue with this course. The alternative is to build a
Logic Environment which remaps AN1x parms to Pro-53 parms.

No offense, but I think your time would be better spent studying
the principles of subtractive synthesis and applying those
lessons to your Pro-53. IMO, you're application of the Controller
Template "to dump patches onto a VSTi" is noteworthy but hardly
an adequate substitute for basic synth programming skills.
