Yes, the AN1X is capable of speaker shredding basses. Find a friend 
with an old tube bass amp and a monstrous 15 inch speak and play 
through that. Or record direct and play through the amp (the Jeep 
mix) and blend.

What I really like the AN1X for is the sound effects. The matrix 
modulation is really deep. When you couple that with the free eg, 
then arpeggiate everything and run it through the echo with the 
feedback turned up, it's a wonderful sound. The morph capabilities 
and the ribbon controller are also very fun. You can take bell sounds 
and turn them into walls of noise.

I've owned a Korg DW 6000 (bleeech!) and a Siel Opera 6. The AN1X 
sounds better than either of them, has many more options, and is much 
more reliable.
