How many controllers on a programmer for an AN1x?

I was wondering lately, suppose you would build a programmer for the
AN1x, to overcome the limitations of the front panel, how many
knobs/faders and buttons would you be talking about? There's the MIDIbox
set of projects, which seems ideal for such a purpose.

By the way, Jon, ever since I pointed the e-mail address I sent this
message from to my GMail account, or perhaps even before that, I'm not
receiving any mail any more from this list. Strangely enough, messages
from other Yahoo groups lists do arrive.

encore knobby, allready thers a patch/template
mackie c4, already thers a patch/template
novation remote 61 sl, thers no template, but can be done easy,

those are the only midi controllers that allow sysex, that im aware of.

all parameters = lots.
all sysex codes are in the yamaha an1x manual, or also are available in the mackie c4 or encore knobby yamaha an1x files.

im tryin to do one for plg150-an with my novation 61sL, but im half way, im too lazy.
only has the ones i use the most, like outGain, vca gain, filter/cutoff/type/keybtrk, octave, ADSR, dry/wet, and others
and usign the pc AN editor its too cool. anyway.
but some parameters are better to feel them in your fingers, mouse controllers does not allow that presition/feeling.

And oddly enough, this is the first message I receive since perhaps July.

Anyway, what I was thinking off is really a dedicated programmer. So you
would indeed have a knob or button for every function. Yes, that's a
lot, and the cost issue of having a decent front panel produced is
probably going to be prohibitive. But since I still have some MIDIbox
PCBs running around doing nothing, I was wondering how feasible such a
thing would be.

You could even imagine building an entire new case, one of these
old-fashioned ones from wood, like the Minimoog.

Peter,

i have 2 Doepfer drehbank and u can use 2 banks of 64 knobs

i made this for the an1x

just using the midi CCs u can add more if u want using midiSysx
but I think this a very nice and complete panel already
for sound tweaking :)
