Although the AN1X and the Nord Electro are both exceptional boards, neither can emulate transistor organs as well as my Conn Swinger organ which on top of having two manuals has a bossa nova beat as well.I wish modern keyboards had multi colored plastic preset buttons. Rainbow Jimmy

He'll thank you for letting him do that, that buck rogers thing and all. No really, he would ;D /me starts to duck and run Gerald ps: I've been working a little bit on a jsynthlib driver for the AN1x, so far I've got a patch library going, but addresses are kinda hardcoded at the moment. Just a quick hack, but at least I could load and store patches from my AN1x to the computer and back again (linux). [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Shoot, if I keep loosing knobs on mine, I'll just start buying replacement kinobs in different colors for mine. in combo organ fashion, my filter cuttoff knob would be light blue, my edge knob would be light green (that's the color of a multitone booster on a farfisa, my volume knob would be red, and my reverb knob white. Well, dang yeah right! Doesn't the Ion have blue LEDs under the keys? Or is it under the wheels... yep it's the wheels. If you really want to make an impression, just throw talent under the bus and turn on the flashies. Or, keep the talent and be a flashy butthole like Keith Emerson -- whom I saw this June with his Monster Modular Moog -- still jacking off a ribbon controller until it spews fireworks ---- 35 years later. O so cool... there's nothing like raw musicianship and showmanship combined to give that *great taste : less filling* satisfaction. *(Um, should I buy the cell phone with the Janet Jackson nipple ring style buttons? I thought I was cool but this girl said the stitching on my phone case was gay and blue means you're looking for someone and I like this American Eagle polo but it doesn't have an alligator....)* Everyone who has come into keyboards since the '90s should be forced to pay their dues for one night at a gig with a Farfisia or Conn organ and a Mini-Moog that you have to set all of the knobs again in between each song. And a guitarist who can't sing and has a D string that goes out of tune 5 measures into each number. *Ed Edwards* ><> <>< <>< ><> http://www.ezekielswheel.com http://www.untiedmusic.com/ezekiel http://mysite.verizon.net/vze29bq6 cavey@... wrote:
