Thanks for the help.

I have tried reseting the machine but each time it returns to the "KRNL" display.

It's a little frustrating because now i have an AN200 that refuses to make a noise!

I a have a sound blaster live card in my pc and have thought the midi side of it to be rather dodgy at times. It's forever causing my machines to lose  sync and i suspect this might be the problem. I shall try the dump again on a friend's usb midi interface and hope for the best!
