Hello, The key action is very good. Not as semi-weighted as the highoend korg/yamaha keyboards, but not as bad as most unweighted midi controllers (m-audio etc). I find it a little lighter than the keyboards of the Roland XP-30 and Novation KS4 that I used to own. The problem that I have when using it as a controller for other synths is that its aftertouch is VERY sensitive. AT depth can be scaled in the control matrix, but I can't find anything that will let me tame it for external synths. If I could, I'd be very happy indeed! Good luck!
