Well, keyboard action is open to broad interpretation Magnus, and you'll find a large variance of opinions within this group about the AN1x. Personally, I find the DX-7 and 01/W action to be the best synth action produced... (not sure of many modern synths, I've kept away from gear lust at music stores for about 4 years now). That type action has a bit of a weight to it, has a break-over point where it seems to get lighter, and has excellent padding at the bottom of the stroke. The AN1x has a very light, unweighted, continuous action with light padding that causes slapping when played hard. I play piano and have a heavier touch in general, so I personally rate the AN's action about 2.5/10. Jon, our moderator, has a higher opinion as do others. But I feel yes, there's plenty worse out there with no padding at the bottom and almost no springs at all.... Finally, the aftertouch is very sensitive on the AN and cannot be adjusted in the operating system.
