You need to buy more RAM before anything else...I can't believe you're happy running
Nuendo in 256MB RAM...and you need a second hard drive for audio...

right now i still have the ''stock'' audio card but im

First of all, using a Firewire Audio Interface will place a slight amount of overhead on
your CPU as opposed to using a PCI based card. That said, the amount in most
instance will not be that great. You should check the forums from Cubase.net and see
what kind of performace others are experiecing using a similar configuration. Second,
the M Audio simply does not have enough I/O to handle all your kit. It's okay for a
portable solution but I wouldn't base a home set-up around it (besies, they run hot
and have crappy knobs.) Instead, look at a 'real' audio interface from http://
www.rme-audio.com/ or http://www.motu.com/ You've already spent a lot of money
on Nuendo, right? Why cut corners on the I/O...
