IIRC there may be a factory patch "Sub Sub" (or maybe I pinched it from our group's patch files) --- anyway, on first thought I've gotta say "Huh?". Remember you can set a global effects off. Try this and see if things improve. Or, try one of the generic patches you can create under #130 (page 97 of the manual) as a bass sound and then check the meter. All this is to politely say that it might be an EBKAC error of some sort.
