As originally designed, the BOSS pedal will probably work backwards, unless it has a switch to select the polarity. Roland polarity and Yamaha polarity are opposites. Most BOSS pedals have polarity switches, though; my FS5U and FS5L pedals do. If you're adventurous with a soldering iron, most non-selectable pedals actually have internal connections for setting up the opposite polarity: I've often changed both Yamaha and Roland pedals in this manner to suit my gear-lust habits. ;^) The Roland sustain pedal even has the polarities marked as "NO" and "NC" on the PC board. Oh and Jon, the FC-7 is still sold, and widely used. Korg ships their version with the CX-3 and BX-3 organs.
