I'm uncertain whether the BOSS pedal is the same polarity as the Yamaha (Bruce 
would probably know the answer.) If not then it will work in reverse: when open 
sounds will sustained - when closed sounds will not. An FC4 or FC5 shouldn't cost 
too much. I had the KORG equivalent of the FC7 and sold it before buying the AN1x - 
pretty short sighted on my part :-/
