Currently dismantling my set up as I am fitting a new floor and rethinking the layout. In about a week when I put it all back together again, I need some help to achieve my goal. Kit involved in this project is: Yamaha AN1x Ensoniq ASR-10 Yamaha MU15 sound module Soundblaster Live Drive II on my PC Midiman Midisport USB 4x4 Sonar XL 1.0 Propellerheads Recycle 2.0 AN1x Editor Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro It gets a little complicated to bear with me. I want to: Send patches to my AN1x via the editor. Currently achieved by connecting Live Drive midi out on PC to AN1x midi in and setting the editor to SB Live midi port (both in and out) I want to: Play midi files using sonar thru the MU15 sound module. Currently achieved by connecting Midisport A midi out to MU15 midi in and setting Sonar Midi out to Midisport A I want to: Have Recycle connect to my ASR-10. Currently achieved by connecting ASR-10 midi in to Midisport B midi out AND ASR-10 midi out to midisport b midi in. (it needs both connections to complete the circle) I want to: Have my ASR-10 play both itself and the AN1x to play at the same time in a combination of the two instruments (or vice versa). Currently achieved by connecting AN1x midi in to ASR-10 midi out or AN1x midi out to ASR-10 midi in. The trouble is with that last item. AN1x midi in and ASR-10 midi out are already used to provide me with one or another of the other three wants on my list. It means disconnecting cables which is a pain in the ass. I have midisport c and d midi outs available and a, c and d midi in's available, but I cannot figure it out how to utilise these ports and configure each piece of kit to do what I want. I hope this makes sense. I have seen some of you guys knowledge on Midi which far outstrips mine, so if anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Best wishes Alan
