I have only had AN1X a few days......so bear with me!  What you say is
right 
"Control Matrix parameters apply to the internal tone generator only"
However.
If you look at the utility/setup and play with the device and ctrl no,
theres an aftertouch (can change limit from 0 to 127).
If I set this to zero...does it switch it off?
I would like to switch off Aftertouch because I am using AN1X as master
keyboard.....
