That's incredibly over used- but the fender has one of the lushest sounds! Things like 808's and 909's to be are just new percussives in a whole new modern orchestra (without sounding too pompous). I don't think it is the preset's fault, just the mind behind it. Synthesisers (IMO) should have never had keyboards put on them in the first place - (I think both Don Buchla and Peter Zinovieff got it right from day one!)
