Unfortunately I don't have a backup option, no tape, no CD burner...and floppies would need too many. I may have to do something like that but will keep it as last resort. > >Strange, when I went back to the SB card, I didn't have that option > >anymore either. > >> > Hold on a mo', I've got A dual boot PC (win98&XP), I just checked in > Device manager in win98 and there are some 'extra' options that aren't > in XP. > there is a thing about joystick and sharing an IRQ with the LPT port, > were they the options you were talking about? I found the option and why it comes up. It is about "polling" the game port for multiple interrupts. I found out you get the box ONLY when the slotted choice box above is set to something other than blank. I saw it appear when I choose something there. > > >Another thing (god...there are so many) that puzzles me is I can turn > >OFF transmit channel, receive channel, device ID and STILL it reacts as > >soon as power up. Reggie, listen I do want to thank you for going through all the bother and trying to help out. I have at least a better idea of where the problem must be (cable or PC setup or hardare in PC). I need to figure out where to take it from here...I am going to try to resintall windows drivers for joystick, etc and see if it helps. Thanks again, and I owe you one! Jim > See ya, > > Reggie
