If it went off and found it's own drivers then it could be that you are getting a mixture of old and new drivers installed? Do you have any system backup software? If so then a reasonable idea might be to completely backup your boot partition (Just in case you need to get things back) and then re-format and re-install windows? Or did you install the card with a fresh install?
