I have the CBX-K2 (without the built-in sounds). It's great since you can assign the wheel and slider to any number of controllers and can independently send out loads of XG commands based on key combinations. I think it was discontinued shortly after it was introduced. I was lucky to grab a demo model. That brings up an interesting question I'd like to poll this group on since it is probably the most active Yamaha-based group I'm aware of (especially Gary as the inside guy). What's up with XG these days from Yamaha's standpoint? It seems like a lot of the momentum has died out. MU series seems dead (everywhere but Japan), forums have closed. I am still wonderring if XGWorks (which I use almost every day) will make it past V3.0. Can we expect that XG will slowly fade away or will it come back in and out again as a Yamaha-evangelized spec? -----Original Message----- From: terryfunken@...
