Hi Steve, Sorry to be chiming in late on this one.... Yeah, I also have an AMT8 and suffer the same fate re 'PatchBay Mode' and 'Computer Mode'. With AN1x Edit, I can launch it and all will be ok, but switch from my sequencer (Pro Tools) and back to AN1x Edit and the damn thing switches back to 'PatchBay Mode' and hence, it tries to send your AN1x controllers to every synth in your studio. To get around this, I simply re-launch AN1x Edit and all's fine again. Sorry to hear it's causing problems with the Nord Modular software as well. That's something I'll have to look into. Tell me, does it work fine when you initially lauch the software (and then only come unstuck if you switch applications mid-session)? Also, are you using OMS? Another drawback (from what otherwise is a fine MIDI interface) is MIDI Beat Clock doesn't seem to be able to be transmitted from single ports. Using ProTools/OMS, it appears it's all or nothing, whereas when using my Roland USB S-MPU64, I had the option in Pro Tools to send MIDI Beat Clock to the individual synths connected to the interface. Strange?!! The amt8 has two modes of operation 'PatchBay Mode' and 'Computer Mode'. They are exclusive to each other. So, I can't use ANY editing software with the amt8 AND have it work as a patchbay. The only way around it is to use a different midi device out of the pc into the amt8 so that the amt8 does not go into 'computer mode'. I read and reread and I don't see a way around it. Fortunately I have another (usb) midi device that I can use this way, it turns out that I have to do it for my Nord Modular editing software too. Thanks everyone for your help. -Steve Community email addresses: Post message: AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com Subscribe: AN1x-list-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Unsubscribe: AN1x-list-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com List owner: AN1x-list-owner@yahoogroups.com Shortcut URL to this page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list Your use of Yahoo!
