At the moment I don´t dig too deep into the AN1x, mostly i tweak some sounds from the group, or i take the AN1x-Genetix and tweak those a bit, got already some interesting sounds out of it (and uploaded them to the group). One of those sounds like a typical Yello sound, those racing-car noise. >Maybe we should have a round of nice tutorials instead of just >uploading yet another bank. As i said...both...:) >Everybody takes one sound they are really proud of and than tell us >step by step how it was created....well? Allright, here´s one from the Waldorf Attack(TM) manual: Roland TR808 Bass Drum On the Roland TR-808, this sound was made by one filter with a high rsonance settingh, triggered by short impulse. Two controls were provided to adjust the bassdrum:"Tone" was used to set the pitch by chnging the filter´s cutoff frequency, und "Deacay" was used to set its resonance, which in turn controlled the decay rate. On the Attack (AN1x), you could use the filter´s self-oscillation by triggering it with a short noise impulse made by the second oscillator, whose volume you can control by an envelope. But a better way is to use Oscillator 1 playing a sine wave, and by changing the initial click impulse by means of the filter. Happy tweaking! --Tom
