Try this (after importing the PLG150AN Env): In the Environment, go to the layer 'Clicks & Ports' Locate the object 'PLG-AN150'; Click on the icon of the MIDI port immediately above the 4x4 grid of the multi-instrument; On the left hand side of your screen you should see the parameter box for the instrument object; Click on the space adjacent to where it says Port and choose the port your AN200 MIDI in/out connection is attached; Then, where it says Cha select ALL. Now, back to the PLG-AN150 object - the 4x4 grid represents the 16 available MIDI channels in a multi-instrument (that's Emagic-speak for multitimbral device). Click on the numbered grid box, '1' for example, that you have set up your AN200 to receive on; Double check the parameter box setting for Channel 1 are correct, i.e., Port should equal the physical port and Cha should equal '1'. You should now be able to toggle to the Arrange page in Logic and set a track to play your AN200 on Cha 1. If this is working then you can go to the Environment layer 'PLG150AN' and the SysEx commands should be received correctly by the AN200. I tested is again with my AN1x and it works fine - occasionally the AN1x will complain of a SysEx receive error :-( but that's no big deal. It's important to remember that this is a one way connection, i.e., Logic will not know the parameter values of the active Voice in your AN200. When you move a slider in this environment you are sending a SysEx string with parameter values that will overwrite the active Voice so, while it similar to a parameter offset, it's really not. Make sense? For all intents is the same thing... > > AN200 should match to AN1x sysex vice, though some parameters are different. > AN200 online manual you can find here http://www.yamaha.co.uk and then click > on manual library... I downloaded the manual and gave it a *quick* once over. It looks like the LSB/MSB Device Number Code are NOT the same for the AN200 ( 02H 05H ) as the AN1x ( 1A 02 ). This is not my strong suite but I suspect this could be a problem?! > > Cheers, > TimoS Good luck, Jon
