With all due respect to Gary, his reply differentiated between the 
features of the AN200/PLG150AN in regards to the AN1x. This was to 
explain why some Voices will differ between the two units. Since the 
sound engine for the AN200/PLG150AN is derived from that of the AN1x 
they should, in theory, sound identical. In practice, there may be 
audible differences between individual Voices created on one unit and 
played back on the other. This results from the differences between 
the Oscillators, polyphony, and effects processing. Which 
sounds 'better' is entirely subjective. IMO, which features suit your 
requirements (table top module vs. keyboard) is the more substantial 
question.

I've only played an AN200 briefly on two occasions. IMO, the 
differences are so nuanced I hardly think they'd be noticeable in the 
greater context of a composition. In other words, the audience isn't 
going to be able to tell the difference. Personally, I didn't care 
for the drum sounds on the AN200.
