The V50 was a keyboard version of the TX81z, i.e., 4-Op FM synth, that had a sequencer, disk drive, and maybe some drum samples and/or effects. It was out in '88 or '89 and was a lame duck competitor to the Korg M1 which ruled the roost in those days. Everybody and his brother produced a workstation as fast as they could back then - just as everybody has an 'analog' synth in their product line these days ;-) Here are some reviews at Harmony Central http://www.harmony- central.com/Synth/Data/Yamaha/V-50-01.html regards, Jon --- In AN1x-list@egroups.com, Phil <accession@o...> wrote: > Hi all, > > Has anyone heard of the Yamaha V-50?
