Does any body out there happen to have a Logic environment for the AN1X
out there, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanx,
Jordan

Jordan,
I haven't found a Logic Environment for the AN1x - yet. You might
want
to check out http://www.swiftkick.com/ This is Len Sasso(?) (the
Logic
Environment guru) site. Let me know if you come up with anything! I'm
still finding my way around the program and haven't done too much
with
the Enviroment section.

OT: The Yamaha V-50

2000-10-21 by Phil

Hi all,

Has anyone heard of the Yamaha V-50? I expect it's quite old and may have
just been released for the domestic market. Anyone know anything about it ?
MIDI etc.?

Cheers,

Phil

The V50 was a keyboard version of the TX81z, i.e., 4-Op FM synth,
that
had a sequencer, disk drive, and maybe some drum samples and/or
effects. It was out in '88 or '89 and was a lame duck competitor to
the
Korg M1 which ruled the roost in those days. Everybody and his
brother
produced a workstation as fast as they could back then - just as
everybody has an 'analog' synth in their product line these days ;-)

Here are some reviews at Harmony Central http://www.harmony-
central.com/Synth/Data/Yamaha/V-50-01.html

regards,
Jon

Re: Logic environment - FOUND IT!

2000-10-22 by jondl@jdlx-musique.com

It was right under our nose the whole time...

http://www.jdlx-musique.com/support/an1x/downloads/qdisc.zip

This folder should also still be available at the Yamaha site. Check
out the other stuff on my donwloads page in addition to the Quick
Disk
Tutorial...

http://www.jdlx-musique.com/support/an1x/downloads/

I tried it out briefly. It was created under Logic 3.5 but it
imported
into Logic 4.5.1 for me with no problem that I could tell. Not all of
the faders appeared to work. I don't know what's up with that yet?
Any
Logic gurus on the list use an AN1x? The environment is still kind of
new to me...

regards,
Jon

Re: [AN1x-list] Re: OT: The Yamaha V-50

Hi Jon,

Fantastic! I was about to give up on this thing!

It's strange; whilst I can find info on the TX81z and even the DX11, I can't
find any mention of the V-50 whatsoever. But then, as you located, there's a
whole world of people using and obviously reviewing them on Harmony Central!
There's no mention of it in the usual places like www.vintagesynth.com.

Many thanks for your help,

Cheers,

Phil

It's imports fine for me too LAW 4.5.1, there are 3 "instruments" in the
environmnent when you go to import the layer I had to use the first
"instrument " layer FYI. I'm not a guru with Logic but I kind of have my
head around it. Thanks for finding the environment!!!
