Have you checked out Cubase.net? Go to http://www.cubase.net/ and you will find forums for all Steinberg software and related items, i.e., Sound Cards, VST plug-ins, etc. Perhaps it a conflict between drivers. Have you been to the Echo Audio site lately? I noticed they have MANY new public beta drivers for both Win and Mac (I use an Echo Gina card.) VST 5 is still pretty new - could be a conflict with the Sound Blaster card or the MOTU. If it were my problem - I'd simplify my kit for troubleshooting. Strip down to just Cubase, a MIDI Interface and ONE synth - make certain THAT works and THEN reintroduce your sound card and other synths. Once that is working - reintroduce your other pieces of software. Good luck.
