List, Since my last post was sorta stupid, I now would like to (prematurly) announce my aquisition of ROM v1.04. It arrived yesterday, in a box, no documentation, in static prevention foam. Unfortunately, that's all I can tell you for now, since I haven't plugged it in yet. (I haven't got the service manual, but being a brave and fearfighting technician, I'll probe the depths of screws 'n stuff and give a report on how to replace the old chip. Someone please update me on what the timing problem is with sequencers. I don't sequence (externally) with it, but I'd like to be able to produce the problem with the older ROM still installed (I've got v1.02 in there now). Then I'll check to see if the new version solves this. Finally, I'm sure you'll ask, "How did you get it?" I'll answer, "The Yamaha web site has an email address for tech questions. When they reply to you, you'll be asked to provide your name, address, the purchase date and serial #. About a week or 2 later I got an email stating the ROM was on its way. Total turnaround was about 1 month... total cost was $0. Ed
