Spend a little more money on a decent MIDI interface, and you'll be able to send bulk dumps. The explanation is that MIDI interfaces have a hardware buffer in which they store data before sending it at 31.5 kbps to the synth. The computer can push data much quicker, and actually cannot push data at that exact speed. The buffer doesn't have to be big, but with cheap MIDI cables the buffer is so small that it cannot accommodate the large amount of data you get in a bulk dump. This is why these cables are useless for sound editing and librarian duties. - Peter
