Re: [AN1x] Re: va synth advice

2010-09-25 by CENOBITA

I really doesn't expect too much from the Ultranova. I have a Novation Nova and I can bet that Novation won't use
its engine (ASM) in this new synth. The specs does not match the original ones and have a really weak vocoder (16
bands, as their Liquid Analog Synths. The Nova have 40 bands).
The UltraNova have nice touches but only on its "hardware" (knobs), but I don't think it will be better than a Nova.

Put your money on a Nova or on an AN1x, you won't regret.

On the Korg's side, you may consider the Radias. I had one and it sounds good (4 timbres, 24 voices, programable
arp, large LCD, decent FX and looks good).

Cheers from Brazil,
Cláudio Falcão (CENOBITA)
