I liked the AN1X presets much better once I zeroed the eq settings. I usually like to use an EQ to subtract not to add frequency and when you boost the high end of a digital synth it's a bit of an icepick in the ear effect. Since it's a virtual synth, I find the most useful patches are the ones that sound analogish but with a little extra--like morphing or increasing the echo with the ribbon controller. Records well and fits in a mix nicely. The EMU presets always sounded a little cold solo but in a mix they really shine. Rainbow Jimmy
