These are often used as a "Y" to split stereo signal into Left and Right (Right = RING and Left = TIP.) This type of cable is typically not used in the manner in which you have it connected. You need to connect the cable to the Left output of your AN1x and connect the Left connection (TIP = Send) into your FW1804. Do not use the Right connection RING = Return.) This will provide you a mono connection from your AN1x to your FW1804. Alternately, you could connect the cable to the headphone out of your AN1x and run the split outputs into two channels on your FW1804. This should address your issue. Jon
