Thanks for your reply, but I haven't edited anything before I switched the synth off. All the presets I go through on the synth have the edit indicator on the display screen even though I have touched no controls and buttons and what I have already said happens. I did another factory reset and the problem seems to have disappeared so far even though I hear some filter LFO sounds on a couple of basic string pad presets that should not be there. I will post the AN1xEdit file to you and see if that happens on your machine.
