Because the AN1x is smart enough to remember your last edit when powered off. This is normal behaviour. Try this: Select any Voice - the EDIT indicator will not be displayed. Choose VCF from the Knob Parameter Group. Alter the VCF Cutoff value - the EDIT indicator will be displayed. Power off your AN1x. Power on you AN1x - the EDIT indicator will be displayed and your last edit will be retained in memory. Select another Voice - the EDIT indicator will not be displayed. Power off your AN1x.
