Re: [AN1x] Hello! New an1x owner aboard!

Hello Bulgarian friend !

>- DC jack sometimes just switches the power off- it could be expected since this is obvously an old and not very gently used board (it even has a crack on the rear panel) so it needs a change;

I think that the jack socket in the AN1X has a loose solder, because of
the crack on the rear panel .Or maybe the socket itself is broken, but
less probably . Get a soldering iron and fix it . Another possible cause
is on the supply jack side because of the bend on the cable . Cut out ~
10cm of wire and fit a new male jack (the stock one is molded around the
wire and not re-usable) , the "+" pole is on the center pin of the jack
.Nothing too bad !

>- volume knob causes scratches sometimes, maybe just needs to be cleaned; one more thing: sometimes when i tweak the knobs changing some of the patches "edit" appears on the screan, but sometimes it doesn't.

In fact it is the same problem : with the volume pot it is audible
(scratches and plops) , with the other pots the bad contact on the
cursor causes the parameter value changes to be ignored by the \ufffdP . No
change = no display !
Clean them all with any proper electronic cleaner , have (again) a look
at all the solder joints of the pots....
If you open your synth, have a look at all the ribbon cables, connectors
.... most of the troubles are related to these things with digital
electronics (because the AN1X is mostly digital, despite its name !)
