The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Is there a difference in the A/D converters between the AN1x and the 
Motif ES series to make a real difference in the sound of same patch? 
My bandmates tell me that the Motif sounds "warmer". But, my pseudo-
experiment seems to indicate the contrary. I have downloaded the same 
An1x raw, single scene, uneffected pulse wave patch into the PLG150AN 
and found it to sound actually a bit thinner on the Motif. What gives? 
Am I missing something?
