Sorry for quality of this question, but you are applying a varying signal to the "cv in" jack next to the "pulse" jack, right? Also, the "strobed" light has to be lit. I could also be thinking about something completely different. Perhaps you are talking about the left hand side "start/adv" pulse input. To use that you must first set all the stages to "stop." At that point a pulse in on the "start/adv" jack should advance one step. Of course if all of the above is old news to you there is always the chance of hardware/firmware issues. I am on rev15.
