Subject: terrible MIDI sound

From: "Sven Becker" <email@...>

hello everyone,

today I've bought a Y-form MIDI-line with
1 MIDI-OUT, 1 MIDI-IN and 1 GamePort.

I've bought an power supply (9 V and 700 mA max.), too.

The dealer said the 700 mA won't be of bad effect
(allthough the manual recommends 300 mA).

But he especially mentioned the polarity, which
he then put in the "KORG-way" ---o)+++

Putting all the lines to KORG and PC was no problem,
but then I tried to sequence KORG-signals in two
sequencing programs:

CAPELLA (notation programm with real-time-entry)
and
Music Center (=QuartzAudioMaster)

In both programms there are some single MIDI notes to
be heard, but most of the time there are much delays,
keys without sound or sounds without any key pressed;
Some of them seem to appear when the keys is going up.
Often there is a deep note next to the note I want.

It sounds as if some keys are damaged and someone else
is deliriously playing on a 2nd keyboard beating a
real deep drum form time to time. TERRIBLE

It can't be that hard to sequence 1 simple MIDI-track.
What can I do to get a better performing of my PC,
keyboard and software? I'm using WINDOWS 98.

Any help or suggestion welcome!
1 000 thanks in advance,
