Hi Mike,
yes i was confused by the absence of the DILs when i received it. i have plenty of them now :-)
want to check what i've got in the BOM as well, against the illustrated instructions, which i have here
printed out.
thinking that i'll go with what i have, after all this time - what are the differences/benefits of the newer kit?
i should have all the update files you've released over time, as i downloaded them all and keep a folder.
v1.3 hardware will be valid up to which software/feature revision?
i think i'll be ok doing it if i just take it carefully step by step. as much about having the headspace as
anything else, here. just want to make sure i've got stuff like stand-offs, and i don't want to end up
halfway through and stuck on something. (have some nice brass ones here, but they are too long; going
to see if i can cut them down)
seem to remember the atomahawk gets done afterwards, and before any panel mods? i think i'd
envisaged having some physical pots there, so there was the issue of whether i'd be drilling any
holes, as well. i had wanted to send it all to circuitbenders, so his encoder could be included, that
was part of reason for deferring.
first stop is to check that unit is working ok, and revisit my old ex800 :-)
then clear a desk and dig out the anglepoise dentist loupe
thanks, shall try to keep the progress report concise, and take photos as i go.
