I would check to make sure that all of the signals that go to the MSM5232 tone generator are getting to the chip.

It's rarely a chip problem. But if all of the signals are getting to the MSM5232 then ∗maybe∗ it's the MSM5232 itself.

You should also go through every parameter and make sure that they all work. Check the EG's, VCF, detune, note offset, everything. Because if anything else is not working then that could give us more clues.

Hi everyone,

New person here. I just picked up a mkII hoping to get the moog slayer mod to get my feet wet, but the DCOs are giving me a few problems.  It's like all the patches are disconnected from the keyboard. 1st. The DCOs are not tracking the keyboard at all. 2nd Same results are evident when sequencing through an external midi input (midi out works to control other synths). I tried loading factory sysex patches with the same results. DCO does respond to pitch bend and tuning inputs via joystick and slider. Initially I wasn't getting any DCO oscillators at all, only a "noise" oscillator from the DCO outputs (yes, even with the noise turned all the way down). It was actually a pretty unique sounding noise. The keyboard "warmed" up or something and I was able to get some tones out of it.

Here is a video that shows the beast in action:  Korg Poly MkII - DCO's not responding to keyboard/midi input

Any ideas for me to narrow down what the possible problem is?
