Hi.........I troubleshoot Electronics probs, for a living.....

I'd say first unplug the connection to the Guitar amp and try the Headphones jack...

here you need to listen carefully for the sounds you mentioned.....either they

a.) went away with the Amp connection ..or

b.) still the same noises.....perhaps not as loud.....

Well.....does your place have 3-wire Wall Power distributed on all Wall sockets....?

The "Wall_Adapter" for the Korg usually does NOT carry the ground, i.e. the third

wire of the Wall socket, but IF your Amp DOES.......then the Audio out between the two

forces both to be at the Amps grounding circuit.....whereas the Korg is 'floating' above

ground with no connection to it normally......until you jack the two together.....

If there are No grounded Power Outlets, as you find in 'Older housing', then thats another story.....Then if that wasn't bad enough, there is the 'In_Between' of those wall sockets

that are only two-wire, but are still polorized by one slot larger the the other (Neutral)

So, enough already , for this installment......tell me where you stand now....

Dan
