Subject: Re: [korgpolyex] Poly 800 mk II pitch problems

Since it sounds like a physical electrical problem, I would open up your Poly and check to see if there are any loose cables/wires near the joystick assembly and the bend POT board. I would also check that all of the earth wires are connected correctly to each of the boards.

Check in the files section and you will see most of the wiring pictures.

I would also carefully push the joystick itself and the buttons and pots and see if it happens when you mess with a specific area of the synth controls. That might help to narrow down where the problem is.

Don't forget to check for battery acid leakage inside too. If you see something odd, take a photo and post it here.

Let us know what you find.

Mike

Hi all to all of you Polylovers,

Could someone give your expertise on this MK 800II problem?  (I think I´ve e heard about it previously..) Whenever I put a little extra pressure on keys or even press the case down, I get pitch bends problems. The synth seems to get crazy. I have checked the board and everything seems fine: nothing burned or wierd.

I am not using the original power supply, but an universal power source switched to 9V 300mah. Anyways seems to have some connection problems as sometimes it turn off with a lot of popping sound. Any relation to my pitch problems?

Thanks a lot for your advice!
