Subject: Re: POLY800 Mod Question: dedicated effects?

I have to admit that the attractive price of the Poly-800 has led me to hoard them a little bit. I've got several.

I see them on eBay all the time, but unlike the previous poster, I rarely see them on Craigslist. Although the first one I ever bought I found on CL. Got it for $75! The seller said it wasn't working, but all it needed was to have its patches reloaded. On eBay, pricing really varies, but I'd say the average right now is about $225.

At the moment at least, the Poly-800 is by far the cheapest analog synth you can buy, probably because they're still quite plentiful and a lot of analog snobs don't respect them. But I say, grab 'em while you still can!

I find them on Craigslist for about the same around here often. I kick myself hard when I think about the rummage sales (or thrift sales? I'm not sure what you call them there) where I've seen them at over the years for like $50-100, but I already had one so... didnt occur to me to grab another. :( If I only knew.... I'll keep my eyes open.
