Okay, that means you should remove R1, D1which are over near the 9v input jack. Otherwise, there will be +5V feedingthrough to the CR2032, which would attempt to charge the 3V battery up to 5Vand could cause it to overheat. It’s hard to tell from the diagram, butthis may only be a problem if you also have the C-Cells installed.

I guess Its the early version because there was no battery just the two soldierpads. I didn't remove anything, just hooked up a battery holder with a CD2032to the + and - pads.
